Will Low

Psychotherapist

Will qualified as a counsellor in 2001 and in 2022, after 5 years of study he graduated with a Masters degree in Psychotherapy.

Over the years he has gained extensive experience working for various organisations and in private practice. He has worked extensively with male survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Additionally he has supported clients through pre and post bereavement in a hospice. He also worked within the NHS as a honorary counsellor in a drug and alcohol outreach program and as a counsellor in a GP surgery working with issues related to anxiety, depression, sexuality dilemmas and trauma.

Will aims to provide a safe non-judgmental environment where you can share your thoughts and feeling at a pace that works for you. He is committed to helping you uncover and use your innate capacity to find solutions. He believes that the most effective therapy happens when therapist and client work collaboratively, exploring and making sense together of the events that brought someone to seek help. He sees his role as a facilitator to your self discovery and not as a therapist who tells you what to do.

He offers brief therapy (e.g. 6 to 12 sessions) for more immediate issues and also offers open ended therapy which means the work could continue for several months or longer depending on what works for you. The longer term work gives an opportunity to delve deeper into roots of distress and patterns of relating.
