Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
At Meadows Wellbeing
Maintain a happier, more balanced life
Do you feel stuck? Perhaps struggling with negative habits, repeating unhelpful patterns, or suffering with indecision or low self-confidence?
At Meadows Wellbeing we are passionate about empowering you to change and achieve your goals. No matter whether you feel it’s a large or small problem, our mission is to help you.
If you are experiencing anxiety related issues, stress, anger, low mood and depression, unhealthy relationship patterns and co-dependence, habitual and compulsive behaviours, IBS or insomnia our CBT therapist can help you work towards alleviating these issues.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a research-backed talking therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interconnected. By identifying patterns in your thinking and reactions to situations, CBT provides practical strategies to help you break negative cycles and develop more helpful ways of responding to life's challenges.
This collaborative therapy focuses on current problems rather than past experiences, teaching you skills to become your own therapist. Through structured sessions, you'll learn techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, manage difficult emotions, and modify behaviours that may be maintaining your problems, leading to lasting positive change in your daily life.

What To Expect From Your Counselling Sessions
Sessions are usually weekly and completely tailored to your needs. They take place ideally at the same time each week and are suitable for individual adults or couples.
CBT is considered a shorter-term talking therapy and depending upon presenting issue(s), therapy tends to span 10-16 sessions.
It is an active, goal-orientated approach.
Our Cognitive Behavioural Therapist can help you change your thinking and overcome limiting self-beliefs to develop helpful habits and thinking patterns for lasting change.
Seeking support can be a big step. Our aim is to help you feel heard and seen for who you are. We suffer when our life isn’t working as we’d wish, but don’t know how to change or do things differently.
Our therapist will strive to create a safe, confidential and supportive space where you feel able to be honest – without fear of judgement – to explore, grow and change.
Meadows Wellbeing offers a free, confidential 15-minute initial phone consultation where you can discuss why you are seeking support and how she can support you.
