Carol Maria is experienced in the Bowen Fascia Release Technique and may use this during consultations, depending on the needs of the client. Bowen Therapy is a form of remedial bodywork. It involves gently stretching the fascia (the soft tissue that covers all your muscles and organs) to promote pain relief, create relaxation and improve motor function to balance the body.
Bowen uses precise and gentle rolling hand movements. These motions focus on the muscles, tendons and ligaments, along with the fascia and skin around them. The idea is to reduce pain by stimulating the nervous system and the majority of the moves can be performed through light clothing.
There is no:
Hard tissue manipulation involved
Adjustment or high velocity movement
Massaging or use of oils
Deep or prolonged pressure
Equipment used.
Carol Maria Trained with The European College of Bowen Studies in 2015.
Treatments are up to 1 hour.
